Hydrofluoric Acid

Hydrofluoric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrogen fluoride, a highly hazardous chemical compound consisting of hydrogen and fluorine X.

Hydrofluoric acid is used in organic chemistry to obtain fluorinated organic compounds, as catalysts and solvents in the petrochemical field, too.

It is also used in the glass industry, among others.
